Description

The Marianne and Emil Lux Foundation supports non-profit organizations in North Rhine-Westphalia with open-ended grants for projects compliant with their statutes in the areas of development cooperation, migration, child and youth welfare, social affairs, education, health, as well as agriculture and rural development. Initiatives that achieve sustainable impact are given funding priority – with a particular focus on the Bergisches Land region. The funding covers a wide range of topics such as vocational training and further education, labor and social issues, as well as integration projects that contribute to an inclusive society. Applications for support can be submitted digitally at any time, enabling flexible planning and prompt implementation of projects.

Only non-profit institutions recognized in Germany with a valid tax exemption certificate and the ability to issue donation receipts are eligible for funding. When allocating funds, the board reviews statutory compliance, the impact dimension of the project, and regional priorities. For the application, in addition to the fully completed online form, a current tax exemption certificate and a detailed project description are required. There is no legal entitlement to approval; however, the continuous allocation of funds provides planning security for non-profit organizations. The straightforward digital submission process emphasizes transparent and low-threshold access to funding, which specifically advances social, educational, and humanitarian purposes.
