Support for the Marler Citizens' Foundation

Since 2015, the Marler Bürgerstiftung has been committed to promoting sustainable, community-oriented initiatives in Marl. As a legally capable private foundation, it supports civil society groups, associations, neighborhood initiatives, and individuals through one-time grants. The focus is on projects in the areas of culture, education, children and youth, sports, as well as social affairs and democratic engagement. Concepts can be submitted at any time, as there are no fixed deadlines. A prerequisite for funding is the submission of a project idea and direct contact with the foundation. This opens up the opportunity for volunteers and local actors in North Rhine-Westphalia to advance their creative and socially relevant endeavors without complications.

The foundation aims to sustainably strengthen community cohesion in Marl and promote social solidarity. Both cultural events and educational offerings, recreational activities for children and youth, sports projects, as well as neighborhood and citizen initiatives that make a special contribution to participation and democratic culture are supported. Through financial support of engagement, the potential of the local community is harnessed and made visible. Interested organizations and private individuals receive a grant that helps them implement their project ideas, exchange knowledge, and actively shape the cultural and social life in Marl.
