Description
Since its recognition in 2022, the Michael Linckersdorff Foundation has been supporting non-profit initiatives in Brandenburg, with a focus on the eastern part of the state. Using funds from rental income of the historic Freienwalde Castle ensemble as well as lease income from the Kongsnæs Ventehalle Potsdam, it supports innovative projects in the fields of education, culture, democratic engagement, and regional development. As a grant provider, the foundation enables committed project sponsors – including educational institutions, cultural initiatives, public entities, and private individuals – to act independently while simultaneously strengthening the local civil society landscape. The continuous funding opportunities create a lasting impetus to implement sustainable initiatives and to firmly establish democratic awareness in the region over the long term.
Eligible for funding are all organizations and individuals based in or primarily active in eastern Brandenburg who can demonstrate their non-profit status or a comparable legal form. The funding focus extends to projects in the areas of vocational and further education, culture & media, labor & social affairs, agriculture & rural development, as well as measures that strengthen social cohesion and democratic participation. The foundation’s goal is to set long-term effective impulses that enrich the educational landscape, promote cultural diversity, and sustainably anchor civic engagement. Interested project sponsors can receive further information on application procedures and preparatory project planning upon request.
