Funding by the Michael and Waltraud Fuchs Foundation

The Michael and Waltraud Fuchs Foundation is committed to the Neumarkt region in Bavaria to support projects that conventional state and social support programs often do not address. The foundation supports non-profit organizations, associations, and federations in diverse fields such as education, upbringing, art, culture, as well as nature and environmental protection. Furthermore, projects in youth and elderly care, welfare, and healthcare also fall within the scope of funding. This initiative aims to close gaps in social support by backing initiative and commitment where they are urgently needed.

Only non-profit institutions that can demonstrably prove their activities within the Neumarkt region are eligible for the grant. Particular importance is attached to a detailed and structured project description, which serves as the basis for the foundation board’s decision-making. To facilitate the application process, a comprehensive package of required documents is requested. This includes a brief cover letter on official letterhead, general information about the organization (such as address, contact person, legal form, and proof of non-profit status), as well as a precise description of the planned project including financial planning. The requested amount must be presented with details of individual cost items, own funds used, and any additional grants. Application deadlines are ongoing: typically, submissions are possible by April 30th or October 31st each year; alternatively, deadlines of March 31st or August 31st apply depending on the review cycle.

The foundation evaluates applications based on specific criteria such as the alignment of the project with the foundation’s purpose, the thoroughness of the financial planning, and a comprehensible project presentation. Through its commitment, the Michael and Waltraud Fuchs Foundation supports projects active in the fields of education, art, culture, nature and environmental protection, as well as in the social care of children, youth, elderly people, and other groups in need. The continuous awarding of grants enables the supported organizations to achieve long-term and sustainable impacts in the region. Through this measure, dedicated project sponsors are given the opportunity to further develop their initiatives and thereby significantly improve the quality of life in the region.
