Description
The funding provided by the Münchner-Kindl-Stiftung is aimed at non-profit associations, foundations, interest groups, and public institutions based in the city of Munich. Since its establishment in December 2002 – building on support for playgrounds that has existed since 1961 through the Munich Association for Playgrounds and Green Spaces e. V. – the foundation has continuously supported projects for the creation and maintenance of playgrounds, sports fields, day nurseries, and kindergartens. With over €3.5 million in funds allocated to date, both new play and care facilities as well as existing installations are sustainably supported. Applications can be submitted throughout the year; early project preparation and a detailed presentation of needs increase the chances of success.
The funding offer is particularly aimed at sponsors and initiators who wish to create or preserve spaces and facilities for play and care services. The goal is to enhance the quality of life and equal opportunities for children and young people in Munich, as well as to design environmentally and climate-friendly green spaces and play areas. Requirement is a project location within the Munich city area and a clear connection to the fields of playgrounds, sports fields, day nurseries, kindergartens, or youth welfare. Through the foundation’s commitment, local initiatives can realize their projects and make a valuable contribution to community-oriented coexistence. Interested organizations can find all information on funding requirements, submission deadlines, and procedures under the Funding section on the Münchner-Kindl-Stiftung website.
