Funding of the Lower Saxony Bingo Environmental Foundation

The funding from the Lower Saxony Bingo Environmental Foundation is aimed at non-profit corporations, interest groups, associations, public institutions, and foundations based in Lower Saxony. It supports projects in the areas of environmental and nature conservation, development cooperation, monument preservation, energy efficiency, as well as agriculture and rural development. Particular focus is placed on initiatives that emphasize long-term sustainability, voluntary engagement, and close integration with local practice. Additionally, measures that contribute to improving the overall ecological situation in the Ems-Dollart region can be supported through a dedicated Ems fund. Funding is provided as a grant and amounts to up to 5,000 euros per project. Since applications can be submitted at any time, flexible planning and implementation of environmental and cultural projects without fixed deadlines is possible.

For a successful application, applicants must demonstrate, in addition to proof of non-profit status, the project’s relevance to the specified thematic areas as well as the principles of regional focus and practical relevance. Evaluation criteria include sustainability aspects, the extent of voluntary engagement, practical feasibility, and relevance to Lower Saxony. The application must include the completed application form, the application guidelines, and the expenditure verification form. Cross-border cooperations involving Lower Saxony are also possible and are considered equally. Since 1989, the Lower Saxony Bingo Environmental Foundation has supported local projects, thus building a bridge between non-profit initiatives and sustainable regional development.
