Description
The state of Lower Austria supports public music school providers such as municipalities, municipal associations, and clubs through direct grants with the Funding of Lower Austrian Music Schools. This ongoing funding opportunity is aimed at all institutions based or implementing projects in Lower Austria and contributes to strengthening musical education and training. Funding is provided for basic and weekly hour contingents that ensure reliable financing of teaching operations and thus contribute to cultural diversity in the long term.
In addition to hourly funding, resources are available for structural measures – such as shortage instrument funding, director academy, director hearings, and talent promotion. This specifically invests in the quality of education and the professional development of music school directors, teachers, and students. A prerequisite is a contribution to the objectives of the Lower Austrian Cultural Funding Act 1996 as well as proof of main residence or project implementation in Lower Austria. For a complete application, a detailed project description, a comparison of income and expenses (calculation template), a cost estimate, a construction schedule, and for clubs the statutes or for companies the articles of association must be submitted. This funding creates a sustainable foundation to permanently secure musical education in Lower Austria and to set cultural impulses.
