Description
Since 2001, the Novalis Foundation "Daring Paths with Novalis" has been supporting non-profit organizations, educational institutions, and public institutions nationwide with project grants in the fields of culture, education, research & innovation, as well as initial and continuing education. Funded are initiatives that increase awareness of Novalis’ work and impact and make cultural and literary educational offerings publicly accessible. These include courses, exhibitions, scholarly publications, and interdisciplinary educational programs for scholars of Romanticism, students, educators, theologians, philosophers, depth psychologists, medical professionals, and natural scientists. Submissions are accepted on an ongoing basis and require projects in the field of Romanticism research or cultural education with publicly accessible outreach activities related to Novalis.
The focus of the funding, in addition to the further development of the Research Center for Early Romanticism and the Novalis Museum at Oberwiederstedt Castle, is also on initiatives of the International Novalis Society. Evaluation is based on the contribution to Novalis research and dissemination as well as cooperation with relevant partner institutes. The grant serves both the ideological and financial strengthening of networks among foundations, museums, universities, and research institutions nationally and internationally.
