Funding by the Otto and Emma Horn Foundation

The Otto and Emma Horn Foundation is continuously committed to the preservation of listed buildings, the promotion of educational and upbringing projects, as well as the strengthening of cultural institutions and elderly care in Saxony. As part of its testamentary provisions, the foundation supports non-profit, tax-privileged corporations through financial grants for restoration and preservation measures on historic buildings and exhibition objects. Funds are also provided to secure institutions such as the Meißen City Museum in the long term and to promote their collection practices. A prerequisite for funding is recognition as a non-profit corporation and a purpose tied to monument preservation, education, culture, or elderly care.

Applications can be submitted on an ongoing basis, which particularly benefits sponsors of monument preservation projects, educational institutions, and social organizations. Both specific restoration measures and the transfer of funds to other non-profit organizations are supported.
