Description

The Professor Dr. Clauß Dietz Foundation – Foundation for Education supports non-profit organizations in Saxony in the implementation of innovative educational projects. Funding is provided for initiatives aimed at preventing school absenteeism and dropout as well as strengthening fundamental skills such as reading, writing, arithmetic, and speaking. Furthermore, democracy education and the promotion of gifted children, adolescents, and young professionals are central to the foundation’s commitment. In continuous funding rounds, project sponsors can submit applications and receive grants of up to €1,500. The decisive factors are the project’s relevance to education as well as to general and vocational education, and a clear geographic connection to the federal state of Saxony.

For the application, a meaningful project description, a detailed target group description, and a concrete timeline and budget plan must be submitted. Non-fundable are institutional costs without direct project relevance, structural investments, commercially oriented initiatives, scholarships outside the foundation’s own projects, and publications without a clear practical reference. Selection is based on alignment with the foundation’s priorities, the expected social impact, and the connection to Saxony. Since there is no fixed application deadline, funding requests can be submitted at any time via email or post. The foundation’s committees usually make their decision within three months; there is no legal entitlement to funding. The commercial orientation of projects is excluded from support to ensure that funds are used specifically for educational goals serving the public good.
