Description
In the state of Carinthia, a continuously open grant program supports the psychotherapeutic treatment of victims of violence and abuse. The aim is to comprehensively assist those affected in processing traumatic experiences and to promote their psychological stability. The state of Carinthia covers the full costs for up to 30 hours of psychotherapy with therapists registered in the Psychotherapists' Register of the Federal Ministry of Health. The funding extends across the sectors of Social Affairs, Health, as well as Labor & Social Affairs and grants a subsidy of 100% of the reimbursable services.
Funding requirements: An informal, written application by the affected persons or their representatives (parents, social workers) forms the basis of the request. This must be accompanied by a professional statement or diagnosis confirming the necessity of psychotherapy, as well as a referral from a general practitioner. Through a declaration of assignment, any cost subsidies from social insurance providers are assigned to the state of Carinthia. Application procedure: The written application can be submitted at any time to the Office of the Carinthian State Government, Department 4 – Family Support, Child Protection, Child and Youth Welfare, Equal Opportunities.
