Description

The Renate and Waltraut Sick Foundation supports innovative projects in the fields of culture, education, sports, training & further education, as well as culture and media through continuous funding – exclusively within the Freiburg area. The goal is to get people moving, whether through sporting activities for all age groups, with a special focus on offerings for people with disabilities, or through cultural and educational measures. The foundation places great importance on promoting projects that create sustainable positive changes in society, thereby contributing to the strengthening of the common good.

Funding is provided in the form of a grant, which is awarded exclusively to non-profit organizations that can prove their non-profit status with the appropriate documentation. Projects realized in the Freiburg region can apply by submitting a written application by mail. The required documents to be submitted include, in addition to the completed application form, a detailed project description and a financing plan, as well as proof of non-profit status, the statutes, and a current extract from the register. An important prerequisite is that applications must be received by the foundation at least six months before the project start date to ensure timely processing.

The foundation’s funding practice is characterized by transparency and clear guidelines, as set forth in both the funding guidelines and the application conditions. The provided grant is earmarked and may only be used for the implementation of the approved project. Based on a thorough review process, the foundation board decides on the funding within the framework of the statutory provisions. These measures offer stimulating support for initiatives dedicated to promoting art and culture, strengthening education, or creating inclusive and movement-oriented offerings. In doing so, the foundation makes a valuable contribution to enriching the cultural and sporting life in the region.
