Description

The funding initiative of the Röchling Stiftung GmbH supports non-profit organizations and scientific educational institutions throughout Germany that advance the transition from linear to circular economic and lifestyle models through cooperative projects. The focus is on projects that demonstrably contribute to the prevention of plastic waste, strengthen circular thinking, and have already been tested on a small scale. Eligible are initiatives designed in partnerships involving at least two sectors, enabling new alliances, expanding networks, and disseminating knowledge or methodologies for sustainable action. A brief project outline or a pitch deck suffices as an entry point into the dialogue-oriented application process, which is continuously open without fixed deadlines.

In the selection process, alongside the concrete contribution to plastic waste prevention, the potential for systemic change, the strength of cooperation, and the scalability of the approaches play a central role. Support is provided in the form of grants and aims to build sustainable structures that have an impact beyond the project duration. This generates impulses for social cohesion and climate-friendly innovations. Decisions are made by a board of trustees that meets at regular intervals. Interested organizations receive individual application consulting after a positive suitability assessment to jointly further develop their concepts.
