Description
The Schober Foundation supports innovative projects for hospice and palliative care in Münster and the surrounding area, with a focus on both outpatient and inpatient services. Applicants must be non-profit organizations or public institutions from North Rhine-Westphalia and can receive grants of up to EUR 50,000. Funding is provided for a period of up to 24 months, primarily covering personnel costs for project coordination and specialized staff, material costs for further training and education, public relations, as well as professional literature and guidelines. Investments in structural infrastructure are excluded. Key evaluation criteria include relevance to local hospice and palliative care, sustainability beyond the funding period, interdisciplinary networking, and the qualification level of the specialized personnel. The funding amount is covered 100%, and applications can be submitted at any time. A clear connection to hospice and palliative care in Münster or its vicinity is required.
Project sponsors and partners such as outpatient nursing services, hospice services, palliative care units, or nursing home teams, as well as professionals from pastoral care and social work, benefit from this funding program. The goal is to qualitatively strengthen the care of seriously ill people in their final phase of life, enable specialized further training, and raise public awareness of the hospice philosophy. Interested organizations submit a detailed project description, a financing plan, and proof of non-profit status. Through this funding, sustainable regional networks are established and professional expertise in palliative care is continuously expanded.
