Description
The Schöffel Foundation was established in 2011 by Hubert and Peter Schöffel to sustainably support social projects in Bavaria. Guided by the principle "setting out together – making a sustainable impact," the foundation focuses on nature-related activities that open up new future perspectives for children and young people. Elements of environmental, climate, and animal protection are incorporated, as well as measures to increase energy efficiency. In doing so, the foundation combines social responsibility with commitment to nature conservation and climate protection, steadily enhancing its reputation in the Augsburg region and beyond.
Eligible for funding are non-profit organizations that specifically initiate projects supporting children and young people through outdoor physical activity while simultaneously strengthening social and ecological cohesion in the region. The Schöffel Foundation particularly targets projects that integrate nature experiences into everyday life to foster awareness of environmental and climate protection. The focus is not only on promoting physical well-being but also on creating shared experiences that enhance community spirit and regional solidarity. With this approach, participants—regardless of gender identity—are motivated to actively perceive their surroundings and engage with the challenges of the present and future.
Financial support is provided in the form of a grant, which is continuously available. For application submission and further information, an application form in PDF format is provided online to interested organizations. The Schöffel Foundation places special emphasis on regional relevance, which is why projects from the Augsburg region or generally from Bavaria constitute a central funding requirement. By combining social and environmental objectives, an innovative added value is created that benefits not only the immediate participants but also generates long-term positive effects for social cohesion and nature. Overall, this funding offers an excellent opportunity to successfully implement forward-looking projects while placing the interconnected, sustainable approach at the forefront.
