Description

The SCM Foundation Christian Media supports nonprofit organizations and educational institutions nationwide that promote Christian values in society based on the German Evangelical Alliance. Funding applications can be submitted online at any time, allowing projects to be proposed flexibly and continuously. A clear alignment with the foundation’s purpose is required: this includes Christian media work, mission and congregational work, diaconal initiatives, as well as theological education and training. The foundation’s board makes decisions several times a year, enabling applicants to receive feedback within eight to ten weeks. Completeness, comprehensibility, and a close reference to the Christian media sector are key evaluation criteria.

Particularly supported are projects in the areas of publishing and public relations, training of church staff, church planting, diaconal projects, and theological qualification. Financial support is provided in the form of grants for innovative approaches in media production, community networking, and diaconal practice. Applicants thus contribute to strengthening social cohesion and promoting democratic values. With a clearly structured application process and transparent review, initiatives are favored that sustainably contribute to the exchange of Christian content and promote interdisciplinary dialogue. Committed projects receive the necessary foundation to achieve long-term impact and further advance Christian discourse in Germany.
