Description

The Savings Bank Foundation for the former Demmin district funds charitable projects twice a year in the area of the city of Neubrandenburg and the former Demmin district. Eligible for funding are associations, interest groups, and other non-profit organizations that wish to implement projects in the fields of research & innovation, education, children and youth, social affairs, culture, construction and monument protection, environmental and nature conservation, disaster protection, animal welfare, commitment to social cohesion and democracy, sports, vocational training & further education, labor & social affairs, culture & media, infrastructure & urban development, as well as energy efficiency & climate protection. The foundation’s goal is to strengthen science, youth and elderly care, art and culture, monument protection, upbringing and education, nature conservation, welfare services, fire and disaster protection, animal welfare, consumer advice, crime prevention, sports, local heritage preservation, and civic engagement, thereby sustainably improving the quality of life in the region.

Applications for the spring session must be submitted by April 30, and for the autumn session by September 30. A prerequisite for approval is that the project has not yet started at the time of the funding decision and is fully implemented within the funding area. The funding application must be submitted together with the required attachments. After a positive decision by the board of trustees, implementation may begin. The Savings Bank Foundation provides all forms and processes only fully completed documents. This transparent funding structure offers charitable networks, associations, and initiatives a reliable financial basis to successfully realize local projects across a wide range of topics and thereby strengthen social cohesion.
