Funding by the Savings Banks Foundation for the Borken District

The Savings Bank Foundation for the Borken District continuously supports charitable initiatives that strengthen social, cultural, and ecological coexistence in North Rhine-Westphalia. Eligible for funding are private individuals, associations, interest groups, non-profit organizations, as well as public institutions with headquarters or project locations in the Borken district. The foundation promotes a broad spectrum through grants: from child and youth care to elderly care, sports, arts and culture, as well as general and vocational education. Measures in the areas of environmental and nature conservation, animal protection, energy efficiency and climate protection, as well as agriculture and rural development, are also supported. Applications can be submitted at any time (Note: online application submission is expected to be unavailable until mid-February 2026).

The central funding objective is to improve the well-being of as many citizens as possible in the Borken district. Projects that support regional identity through local heritage, customs, and cultural preservation are given equal consideration as innovative initiatives for vocational qualification, media work, and social integration. Through sustainable capital commitment, the proceeds are made available for charitable purposes in the long term, with an annual decision on fund allocation made by a board of trustees. The Savings Bank Foundation for the Borken District thus effectively continues the commitment of the Sparkasse Westmünsterland and offers stakeholders from all social sectors the opportunity to make a tangible contribution to the quality of life in the region with financial support.
