Description
The Sparkassenstiftung Ostalb continuously supports non-profit initiatives that make a sustainable contribution to the quality of life and infrastructure in the Ostalb district. Projects in the areas of children and youth, sports, environmental and nature conservation, social affairs, culture, education and science, as well as monument preservation, are funded from the returns of the foundation’s assets. Eligible for funding are non-profit organizations, interest groups, associations, educational institutions, and private individuals with their registered office or project location in the Ostalb district. Regional relevance, feasibility, degree of innovation, and sustainability are applied as central evaluation criteria. The amount of grants depends on the project category and the quality of the submission; individual awards such as the university prize are endowed with up to €2,000.
Applications can be submitted at any time via the official form of the Sparkassenstiftung Ostalb. Required are a completed funding application, a meaningful project description, a detailed financing plan, and proof of non-profit status. For individual award applications, a curriculum vitae supplements the documents. Exceptions are special awards: the submission deadline for the university prize ends annually on August 31, and for the Jugend forscht awards on November 30. The foundation also grants prizes such as the Craftsman Prize, Local History Research Prize, or Youth Sports Promotion Prize to recognize outstanding achievements in the region. This aims to promote talents, support cultural projects, and sustainably anchor innovative concepts for environmental protection and community life. Interested initiatives and individuals from the Ostalb district are invited to submit their project ideas and benefit from the diverse funding opportunities.
