Funding of the Sports Foundation of the Former Rhein-Pfalz District Savings Bank

Since 2003, the Sports Foundation of the former Kreissparkasse Rhein-Pfalz has been committed to supporting talented amateur athletes. With an endowment capital of 500,000 euros, outstanding achievements are rewarded with cash and material prizes, training measures are supported, and participation in competitions is facilitated. Additionally, sporting events in the Rhein-Pfalz district are financially supported. Private individuals as well as non-profit clubs and institutions based in the Rhein-Pfalz district benefit from this broad commitment, which aims to equally strengthen athletic talent, club engagement, and cultural identity.

To apply, a completed funding application must be submitted and received at the office by May 8, 2026. Proof of amateur sporting achievements is required, as well as non-profit status for organizations. Grants are awarded in the form of subsidies and material prizes; the allocation is the responsibility of the board and advisory council. This systematically implements funding objectives such as supporting ongoing training activities and organizing events.
