Description
The Mayen-Koblenz Sports Foundation uses the interest income from its endowment capital to specifically promote club sports in the Mayen-Koblenz district. As a non-profit foundation, it is exclusively open to organizations and educational institutions with non-profit status and supports measures particularly in the field of sports as well as related activities in culture and media. The focus is on training and further education for coaches and instructors, but also on the acquisition of sports equipment, travel and accommodation costs for training stays, as well as participation fees for competitions. In exceptional cases, investment costs for the construction, expansion, or extension of club-owned sports facilities may be subsidized. The continuous disbursement of grants enables long-term planning within the clubs and sustainably strengthens voluntary work on site.
Applications can be submitted year-round. A prerequisite is the prior notification of the planned measure to the foundation’s office, including details of the participants, the event, and a cost estimate. Upon completion of the measure, a certificate of participation as well as proof of actual payment must be submitted. Eligible expenses include, in particular, training and further education costs, equipment and device costs, expenses for training stays, and participation fees; in cases of urgent need, investment costs for sports infrastructure are also eligible. Funding is granted within the scope of the available interest income and is awarded as unbureaucratically as it is transparently, in order to sustainably strengthen voluntary engagement in sports clubs.
