Funding by the German Sports Aid Foundation

For 55 years, the German Sports Aid Foundation has been supporting German junior and elite athletes on their path to the world elite and beyond. With monthly grants, it provides the necessary financial foundation and complements this with a broad portfolio of individual measures for personal, educational, and professional development. The focus is on balancing elite sports, education, and career entry. National squad athletes in Olympic disciplines as well as selected athletes from non-Olympic sports benefit from a tailored support concept developed jointly with top federations and athlete representatives, oriented towards performance and international prospects. Applications can be submitted continuously and take individual support needs into account.

The support program equally extends to paralympic athletes in the Top Team and Top Team Future, as well as to deaf athletes in the Deaflympics squad. The goal is long-term accompaniment up to a potential-oriented career entry, where each athlete receives precisely tailored support. In addition to financial grants, workshops, career coaching, and educational scholarships are offered to facilitate the transition from professional sports to a second career. Through continuous support, the foundation makes a decisive contribution to value-oriented sports development in Germany and enables athletes to fully focus on their sporting goals and personal future planning.
