Funding of the Foundation "Die Stifter … for People with Disabilities in the Region"

The foundation “Die Stifter … for People with Disabilities in the Region” is committed in Lower Saxony to offering comprehensive support to people with disabilities and their families in the districts of Lüneburg and Harburg. Funding is provided, among other things, for counseling services related to the transition from the parental home, sibling seminars, as well as the development of volunteer structures for people with high support needs. Furthermore, the engagement extends to integrative meeting and leisure projects such as holiday trips and cultural events that strengthen the interaction between people with and without disabilities. Special commitment is honored with awards for exemplary disability work, creating incentives for sustainable inclusion.

As a grant provider, the foundation enables partial and start-up financing for social institutions to realize structural investments and additional equipment beyond legal standards. Funding is available to private individuals, non-profit organizations, companies, and public institutions, provided that residence or activity in the funding area can be demonstrated. Applications can be submitted year-round, ensuring continuous project development. The flexible grant procedure is oriented to the needs of the applicants and, through individual consultation, ensures long-term impact on site. In this way, the initiative contributes to an inclusive community and supports sustainable structures for people with disabilities in the region.
