Description

The DKM Darlehnskasse Münster Foundation supports nationwide non-profit initiatives that align with the goals of the Catholic Church and contribute sustainably to strengthening social cohesion. Projects are funded in the areas of child and youth welfare, disability and elderly care, education and upbringing, science and research, preservation of customs, landscape and monument protection, art and culture, development cooperation, as well as church-related purposes. Applicants can be associations, educational institutions, or church organizations that, through their activities, initiate social engagement and achieve long-term effects. The foundation deliberately emphasizes diversity and innovation and evaluates applications primarily based on their substantive alignment with Catholic values, the prospect of sustainable impact, and the breadth of possible project manifestations.

There is no legal entitlement to funding; however, applications can be submitted at any time, with no deadline restrictions. Excluded are purely construction measures, book projects, holiday camps, multi-year support needs, as well as initiatives within the primary responsibility of public authorities. Funding is provided as a non-repayable grant. Applications are submitted digitally via the service order "Funding Application DKM Foundation." Experts of the foundation review each project individually to ensure targeted allocation of funds. In this way, since its establishment in 2004, the DKM Darlehnskasse Münster Foundation has supported forward-looking projects that reach people at all stages of life and motivate further social engagement.
