Description
The Frankfurt/Main Airport Foundation for the Region supports non-profit initiatives as well as public institutions, associations, and educational providers in Hesse that implement projects with a regional focus. The current funding round centers on the theme "Family": for example, projects promoting early childhood education, measures to improve the balance between work and private life, and programs to strengthen family cohesion are supported. Offers for extracurricular education and targeted relief for single parents may also receive grants. A prerequisite is that the project is located in the Rhine-Main region, makes a sustainable contribution, and specifically addresses the funding priority "Family." Applications can be submitted by February 26, 2026, and September 10, 2026—each ahead of the committee meetings on April 23 and November 5, 2026.
This funding measure aims to enhance the quality of life in the region and offset the impacts of airport operations. Committed stakeholders from the fields of environmental and nature conservation, culture, media, energy efficiency, climate protection, labor, and social affairs are invited to submit their concepts. Evaluation criteria include alignment with the family focus, regional impact, and long-term viability. The goal is to expand the attractiveness of the Rhine-Main area and effectively support families in their daily lives. Financial support is provided in the form of a grant; submissions must be made in a timely manner by the respective deadline.
