Funding of the Hamburg School Association Foundation of 1875

The Hamburg School Association Foundation of 1875 supports non-profit organizations and public institutions in Hamburg with project-related grants to strengthen the care, education, and social participation of children and youth. In cooperation with daycare centers, schools, and other partners, it finances both institutional projects and individual measures – ranging from learning materials and sports equipment to tutoring and leisure activities. The funding is passed directly to tax-privileged corporations and public law entities or, in individual cases, invested by the foundation itself in youth welfare. The goal is to promote equal opportunities, reduce educational barriers, and enable young people to actively engage in society.

Applications can be submitted year-round, allowing organizations to respond flexibly to current needs. Supported are initiatives that contribute to individual development and integration, including excursions, class trips, parent courses, and model projects for the advancement of youth welfare practice. Through continuous fundraising and allocation, the foundation assumes responsibility for the Hamburg community and continues the legacy of the School Association that has grown over more than 145 years. The initiative is aimed at sponsors committed to the educational development and social inclusion of young people in Hamburg and who wish to implement innovative, sustainable projects.
