Description
The Hilfreich Foundation in Lower Saxony continuously awards grants for initiatives that promote intergenerational exchange between young people and seniors. Projects are funded in the areas of education, upbringing, health, international understanding, social cohesion/democracy, as well as vocational training & continuing education and work & social affairs. The goal is to intensify the dialogue between generations through facilitated encounter formats and practical activities, to strengthen knowledge transfer and mutual appreciation, thereby enabling a solidarity-based coexistence.
Eligible to apply are non-profit organizations, public institutions, private individuals, interest groups, and other associations with their own project ideas. Funding can be applied for at any time by arrangement, as there are no fixed deadlines. Projects that focus on intergenerational encounters, joint learning opportunities, or health-oriented measures have particularly good chances of receiving support. The Hilfreich Foundation invites all interested project sponsors to submit their concepts for a sustainable intergenerational dialogue and thus set impulses for a solidarity-based coexistence in Lower Saxony.
