Description

The Kaplan Gerhard Hirschfelder Foundation continuously supports projects aimed at preserving and conveying the cultural and religious heritage of the historic County of Glatz. Non-profit organizations, interest groups, associations, and private individuals from the EU can apply for grants for initiatives in the fields of culture, art, monument preservation, literature, music, and history. Funding is provided, for example, for the publication of relevant writings, archiving and documentation projects, as well as lectures, conferences, and religious events. The goal is to stimulate interest in regional traditions, preserve cultural assets, and strengthen cooperation among German, Polish, and Czech partners. There is no legal entitlement to funding; therefore, a board of trustees decides on the allocation of funds in accordance with the foundation’s statutory provisions.

Projects must have a clear connection to the culture, art, or history of the County of Glatz and comply with the foundation’s funding principles. Evaluation criteria include the contribution to the preservation of cultural heritage as well as the communicative and educational impact of the submitted initiatives. Applications can be submitted at any time, offering an open-ended opportunity to provide sustainable impulses for the region. In addition to traditional monument preservation projects, the foundation also supports innovative formats that keep cultural memory alive and promote intercultural dialogue. Through this open call, committed initiatives receive valuable seed funding to bring the rich legacy of the County of Glatz closer to a broad audience.
