Description

The Klingelknopf Foundation supports children and adolescents with neurofibromatosis nationwide, as well as their families, through a variety of recreational, educational, and individual case assistance programs. As a non-profit initiative, the program is aimed at those affected and their relatives: a medically confirmed diagnosis of neurofibromatosis is required, and applications can be submitted at any time by the affected children, adolescents, or their parents. Funding is provided for expenses such as sailing courses to strengthen balance and self-confidence, creative workshops in the media workshop, holiday camps to promote motor skills and social participation, as well as individual life assistance – ranging from aids for the visually and hearing impaired to financing personal life dreams. All support is granted as a non-repayable subsidy and is reviewed based on urgency to specifically improve the quality of life and participation opportunities for the families.

To apply, it is sufficient to complete the official funding application in PDF format, which the foundation provides free of charge. Applications can be submitted continuously and should be sent in completed form to the foundation’s business address. Private individuals are eligible for funding and benefit from rapid processing and individually tailored funding decisions. Through this flexible structure, the Klingelknopf Foundation enables affected families to receive immediate and unbureaucratic support – whether the focus is on a sailing trip on the Außenalster, a creative seminar on Sylt, or the fulfillment of a special wish.
