The Kloster Erlenbad Foundation supports nonprofit organizations nationwide in the fields of social affairs, development cooperation, construction and monument preservation, culture, work & social issues, as well as agriculture & rural development. Through an ongoing funding program, pastoral activities of the Congregation of the Franciscan Sisters of Erlenbad are promoted, as well as humanitarian aid projects in India, Latin America, and other operational regions. The goal is to preserve places of encounter, community, silence, and prayer, and to safeguard cultural and spiritual centers through the restoration of monastic and church buildings. Furthermore, the grants are intended to accompany people in personal life situations and to support pastoral care in various social contexts.
Only nonprofit organizations are eligible for funding, with a focus on institutions of the Franciscan Sisters of Erlenbad and consideration given to needy people in developing regions. Projects in the funding areas of infrastructure & urban development and culture & media may also be submitted, as well as initiatives in rural areas aimed at preserving traditional buildings.
