Description
The Foundation for Cultural Heritage in Rural Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania offers continuously open grant funding for the preservation and maintenance of historic manor and park estates in northeastern Germany. Private individuals, non-profit organizations, public institutions, companies, and foundations may submit applications for renovation, restoration, as well as maintenance and conservation measures on listed monuments, provided the project location is in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Additionally, consulting costs, research projects, and events for experience exchange are supported. The goal is to take over endangered properties and manage them as trust projects in the long term, in order to preserve the rural cultural heritage in its diversity and establish new usage concepts.
Owners and operators of listed buildings, municipal sponsors, as well as committed actors from associations and initiatives benefit from financial assistance and professional support. Exchange with experts on financing, maintenance, and use of historic ensembles strengthens the regional cultural and media landscape and promotes sustainable urban and village development. Applications can be submitted at any time; there is no deadline for submission. Interested parties are encouraged to discuss their project ideas in advance with the board of trustees and to review the statutes in order to maximize the chances of success of their undertaking and contribute to the preservation of valuable cultural assets in the rural areas of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
