Funding by the Osterberg Foundation for Art and Culture

The Osterberg Foundation for Art and Culture supports projects nationwide in the field of contemporary art, with a particular focus on photography. Private individuals, non-profit organizations, as well as interest groups and associations can continuously submit individual requests for sponsorship measures. The aim is to support innovative initiatives by artists and cultural practitioners and to enable collaborations with institutional partners. The foundation acts as a flexible funding body: every submission – whether a detailed project description or a cooperation inquiry – is reviewed promptly. This open process generates diverse impulses for exciting exhibition formats, publications, and interdisciplinary partnerships.

Interested applicants from the field of contemporary photography benefit from uncomplicated funding requirements: a project within the specified thematic area is sufficient to be eligible for funding. The Osterberg Foundation explicitly invites project ideas to be submitted at any time via email or through the provided contact form. There is no fixed deadline, combining planning security and flexibility. In this way, the non-profit foundation, which has been based in Dresden since its establishment in 2015, supports artistic experiments as well as long-term collaborations. Through targeted support, it contributes to sustainably strengthening contemporary art and photography in Germany and to creating new networks between creatives and institutions.
