Description

The funding provided by the Save my Brain Foundation is aimed at initiatives in Germany that deal with acquired neurological injuries and traumatic brain injuries. The focus is on projects that raise awareness of the consequences of head injuries, prevent unrecognized late effects, and provide aftercare including neurological rehabilitation. The goal is to sustainably improve the quality of life for those affected by translating research findings into practice, expanding information offerings, and establishing professional networks between science, rehabilitation, and counseling. Through the use of grants, both innovative measures in research and knowledge transfer as well as regional awareness campaigns and school prevention programs are supported.

Eligible for funding are non-profit organizations, public institutions, educational establishments, and companies implementing projects in the fields of health, research & innovation, education and training, work & social affairs, as well as corporate financing. This measure benefits people with acquired brain injuries, their relatives, and professionals from rehabilitation, counseling, and prevention. Among other things, the foundation supports the expansion of nationwide counseling services, promotes transfer-oriented research projects, and initiates campaigns for voluntary home wearing or helmet use in the school context. Submissions are possible nationwide at any time, as funding is granted continuously and can thus respond flexibly to new ideas and needs.
