Funding of the Senior Soul Foundation

Since 2014, the Seniorenseele Foundation has been promoting the quality of life of older people in Rhineland-Palatinate who are particularly in need of assistance due to poverty, need for care, or dementia. Through its non-profit grant model, it supports direct aid as well as the expansion of palliative care services and specialized dementia care. Furthermore, the foundation initiates and finances art, culture, and sports projects to actively involve seniors in social and intergenerational leisure activities. The goal is to strengthen independence and enable a dignified life for seniors in need of care and those without financial means, while relieving relatives through professional counseling.

Applications are open to private individuals from Rhineland-Palatinate as well as non-profit organizations alike. Prerequisites for funding are proven disadvantage or need for care in old age. Eligible expenses include direct assistance, palliative care, dementia care, social services, as well as the implementation of art, culture, and sports projects. Interested applicants submit a donation form and proof of need; there is no deadline, and applications are accepted throughout the year. Through the uncomplicated allocation of its funds, the Seniorenseele Foundation makes a decisive contribution to enabling older people in the region to age independently and with participation in public life.
