Description

The trias Foundation supports non-profit organizations, associations, and initiatives throughout Germany that deal with issues related to land use, ecology, communal living, monument preservation, nature conservation, events, or the creation of informational materials. Projects that test and implement new, sustainable, and social concepts are funded – ranging from brownfield development and de-sealing measures to communal living models with a socio-ecological approach. Typically, grants range between €500 and €2,000, with individual cases up to €5,000. Material and personnel costs are eligible for funding, whereas the furnishing of common rooms, wheelchair ramps, care bathrooms, or project development costs are not supported. Projects that go beyond classic communal living and seek innovative approaches, for example in inclusion or care, receive special attention.

A prerequisite for funding is non-profit status and thematic relevance to the foundation’s profile. Selection is based on alignment with the funding areas, the degree of innovation, and proof of non-profit status. Applications can be submitted continuously and require a detailed project description, a timeline and budget plan, as well as a current certificate of non-profit status. The trias Foundation’s board decides on the allocation and places particular emphasis on sustainability, impact, and the potential for evaluation. Through the continuous funding opportunity, non-profit actors are offered a reliable chance to implement forward-looking projects related to land, environmental and climate protection, as well as communal living in Germany.
