Description

In Tyrol, a continuously available grant program supports semi-inpatient day care for individuals in need of care and supervision, while simultaneously relieving caregiving relatives. Public and non-profit institution operators may submit applications at any time, provided the target groups have their primary residence in Tyrol, can demonstrate entitlement to care allowance (levels 1–7), or have initiated a corresponding care allowance procedure. Alternatively, if care allowance is not available, a professional confirmation of documented care or supervision needs or a socially indicated short-term needs certificate is accepted. The measure aims to professionally design the activation, care, and support of those in need of supervision and to enable a longer stay in the home environment.

Funding supports, among other things, the organization and implementation of a needs-oriented, structured day program by qualified professionals, accommodation and catering, a midday rest period, as well as an additional transport service. The funding provider’s cost contribution is income-based and is paid directly as a grant to the service providers. Personal documentation is required for the application, including social insurance number, registration confirmation, care allowance notice or professional care confirmations, as well as income proofs. In this way, the funding contributes to a stable daily structure and creates valuable relief for relatives.
