Description

The Wolfgang Bösche Animal Welfare Foundation supports non-profit and public institutions nationwide that are committed to the sustainable preservation and protection of animal species as well as environmental and nature conservation. Regular grants are allocated for specific purposes in the fields of species protection, environmental and nature conservation, education, research & innovation, and training. A particular focus is placed on projects that achieve long-term impact and pursue innovative approaches to securing biodiversity and habitats. Politically motivated, radical initiatives as well as zoos, circuses, and commercial animal trade are excluded from funding. A prerequisite for a successful application is recognition as a non-profit organization, non-commercial activity in animal or environmental protection, and strict earmarking of the funds.

Funding applications can be submitted at any time, with a fully completed PDF form required. The foundation places special emphasis on sustainability, designated use, and compliance with the established funding criteria during the selection process. The review is conducted independently and confidentially; only projects that align with the foundation’s principles and whose implementation and future oversight are demonstrably secured will be supported. Interested organizations can find the application form and detailed funding criteria on the Wolfgang Bösche Animal Welfare Foundation’s website. Upon receipt and positive evaluation, the foundation will contact the applicants to coordinate the next steps.
