Description

The nationwide initiative for inter-company vocational training in the skilled trades supports craft businesses and inter-company training centers in providing apprentices with practical and professionally sound training. Financial subsidies cover course and examination fees and, if applicable, reimburse travel expenses to promote the mobility and qualification of apprentices. The goal is to ensure a practice-oriented supplement to in-company training and to pave the way into qualified skilled trades professions. Applications can be submitted at any time, allowing trainers and apprentices to flexibly benefit from the funding opportunities.

Eligible for funding are companies and educational institutions that are assigned to the skilled trades according to state law and whose training centers are registered as inter-company institutions in the directory of non-licensed training centers. Eligible expenses include course fees, examination fees, and travel costs. The application requires a completed application form, proof of the training center, a cost estimate from the course provider, and the training contract. The funds are granted as subsidies and contribute to securing the quality of vocational training in the skilled trades and to strengthening the skilled workforce in the long term.
