Support for Association-Based Youth Work in Carinthia

In the state of Carinthia, this initiative supports non-profit youth organizations that are united in the Working Group of Carinthian Youth Organizations (AGJ) with continuous financial base funding. Since January 1, 2014, the non-repayable grant has strengthened association-based youth work and ensured structural sustainability. Apart from formal criteria, the focus is on offerings for young people as well as commitment to social cohesion, democratic education, and social participation. As a permanently available financial aid, the funding provides planning security and promotes innovative projects within the associations. The measure is aligned with the thematic areas of Children and Youth, Commitment to Social Cohesion and Democracy, and Work & Social Affairs, thereby contributing to the comprehensive further development of youth work in Carinthia.

Only non-profit organizations with valid AGJ membership are eligible to participate, submitting a written application using the "Application for AGJ Base Funding 2025" and a binding declaration of commitment. Applications can be submitted continuously, provided deadlines are observed. The proof of use, including original invoices, payment receipts, and an annual report with at least two exemplary projects as well as a directory of local groups, must be submitted to the responsible Youth Department of Carinthia by June 1 of the following year. Additionally, the "Settlement Form Base Funding AGJ 2024" is used for the accounting process, and any sample copies of association publications are to be attached to the annual report. This transparent accounting routine ensures that the funds are used purposefully and responsibly in the interest of association-based youth work.
