Description
The Vitus Foundation – Support for People with Disabilities provides an open-ended grant program to support non-profit organizations, services, advocacy groups, and associations in the central Emsland region (Lower Saxony). Projects that advance the participation of people with disabilities in the fields of children and youth, social affairs, health, work, education and training, engagement for social cohesion/democracy, media, and culture are funded. The focus is on initiatives promoting development, education, and vocational integration, community-based living arrangements, as well as opportunities for interaction between people with and without disabilities. The goal is to sustainably improve quality of life and strengthen inclusive structures by supporting creative concepts and innovative projects with lasting impact.
Applications can be submitted at any time and are made informally by organizations, services, or initiatives planning and implementing projects for people with disabilities. For the application review, a stated objective, a detailed concept, a clear timeline, and a comprehensible financing plan must be submitted. Individuals are excluded from funding. The allocation is decided by the board of the Vitus Foundation based on the submitted documents. Project sponsors are encouraged to submit their proposals in the specified funding areas and thus contribute to the inclusive development of the region.
