Description

The Funding for the Further Development of Child and Youth Services (FRL Further Development) supports non-profit organizations and public institutions in Saxony in innovative approaches to strengthening social cohesion. Funded are model projects and practice-oriented research as well as interdisciplinary cooperation in the areas of child protection, democracy education, and participation. Recognized providers of independent youth welfare as well as local providers of public youth welfare can continuously submit written applications to the Municipal Social Association of Saxony, provided a professionally sound concept is available and – depending on the project – participation in the selection process of the State Youth Office or the conclusion of a cooperation agreement has taken place. An appropriate own contribution is a prerequisite for approval.

Within the framework of the guideline, up to 90% of eligible expenses for statewide projects and measures in the core areas of child protection, democracy education, and participation are covered. For regionally oriented projects, the funding rate is up to 75% in the first year, with a degressive scale in subsequent years. Eligible costs include personnel and material expenses. For the application, a completed application form, the professionally sound concept, the cooperation agreement, and proof of own contribution must be submitted. Evaluation criteria include, among others, the statewide or regional relevance, the professional quality of the concept, and the contribution to strengthening democratic processes and community-oriented participation.
