Description
The Willi Dauberschmidt Foundation awards young talents under the age of 35 from the former district of Dinkelsbühl with one-time funding prizes totaling approximately 20,000 euros per award cycle. The funding prize recognizes outstanding achievements in youth welfare, sports, education, culture, media, music, and vocational training and presents them to a broader public. The foundation pursues exclusively charitable purposes and awards the prizes annually in a ceremonial setting, usually in May or June at the Dinkelsbühl concert hall. The funds may be divided among several independent recipients to honor outstanding commitment in various disciplines. A continuous application option allows submissions throughout the year.
Eligible to participate are natural persons who have not yet reached the age of 35 by the application deadline and who have had or currently have their school, training, or primary residence for an extended period in one of the municipalities of Burk, Dinkelsbühl, Dürrwangen, Ehingen, Gerolfingen, Langfurth, Mönchsroth, Röckingen, Schopfloch, Unterschwaningen, Wassertrüdingen, Weiltingen, Wilburgstetten, or Wittelshofen. The evaluation particularly considers the extent and originality of the achievement as well as its relevance to the specified funding areas. Applications must include, among other documents, a cover letter, a tabular CV, a report on the commendable achievement, supporting documents such as certificates, photos or press reports, a photo of the applicant, contact details of references, and a brief summary of the achievement for publication. After reviewing the documents, the foundation board makes the decision; legal recourse is excluded.
