Description

The Future Foundation for People and Society supports non-profit initiatives and projects nationwide that set new impulses for the common good in their initial phase. Funding is provided for time-limited projects in the areas of education, research & innovation, social cohesion and democracy, development cooperation, vocational training, work & social affairs, as well as agriculture and rural development. A prerequisite is recognition as a non-profit organization under German law. Selection is made through an individual review by the management and the foundation board, which meets three times a year. Applications are submitted digitally via GLS Treuhand, enabling prompt and transparent processing.

The focus of the funding is on projects initiated by individuals or groups that make a concrete contribution to shaping the common good. Evaluation criteria include the clarity of social benefit, compliance with the principles of German non-profit law, and a convincing concept and financial plan. The following documents are required for the application: completed digital application form, financing and cost plan, confirmation & data protection declaration, valid statutes, extract from the association or commercial register, proof of non-profit status, and, if applicable, an additional appendix (e.g., annual financial statement). Application deadlines correspond to the foundation board meetings. This funding offers non-profit actors the opportunity to transform ideas into implementable projects and initiate impactful change.
