Description

The funding of the Voluntary Social Year (FSJ) in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania is aimed at approved providers in accordance with the provisions of the Youth Voluntary Service Act (JFDG), who accompany young people up to the age of 27 in community-oriented placements. Public institutions, educational institutions, as well as other legal entities under public or private law can apply for a grant at any time, which is co-financed with funds from the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+). An amount of €185 per participant month is provided to sustainably support offers in the thematic areas of children and youth, social affairs, engagement for social cohesion and democracy, as well as vocational training and further education. A prerequisite for funding is recognition as an FSJ provider and compliance with all JFDG requirements during project implementation.

The application process is open at any time without fixed deadlines: In addition to the completed application form, proof of FSJ recognition, a current commercial register excerpt, and the provider’s statutes must be submitted. The objective of the grant is to strengthen civic engagement and to promote the individual career or study choice competence of the participants. Approval is granted in the form of a written notice and applies for the entire duration of a voluntary service. Interested providers receive all necessary information on funding requirements and documents from the State Office for Health and Social Affairs Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. This continuously available support makes a sustainable contribution to the personal development of young people and to the promotion of social cohesion in the region.
