Funding of ongoing expenses and investments of private legal entities in the school sector

Private legal entities in the compulsory school sector in Upper Austria receive continuous subsidies to cover investment costs and ongoing operating expenses. Funding is provided for new construction measures as well as the acquisition of teaching and learning materials that, within the framework of defined focal points in the sense of results-oriented administration, enable contemporary teaching. The goal is the sustainable further development of individual educational offerings for students in Upper Austria and the strengthening of innovative teaching and learning methods in the regional compulsory school sector. The funding is divided into the areas of education as well as training & further education and can be applied for continuously as long as the guideline remains in effect.

Eligible for funding are non-profit organizations and companies that provide educational services in the compulsory school sector in Upper Austria. The general funding guidelines of the State of Upper Austria and a written application are prerequisites for funding. Application documents include a detailed cost estimate of the planned measures as well as a statutory signed annual financial statement. Only investment costs and ongoing operating expenses that directly serve the quality assurance and improvement of individual learning concepts are funded. The application deadline began on December 31, 2013, and remains in effect until revoked. Timely and complete submission of all documentation ensures that the funds are made available promptly and the implementation of innovative school projects can proceed swiftly.
