Funding of the Upper Austrian Animal Health Service

The grant is aimed at public institutions in Upper Austria that implement recognized animal health programs of the Upper Austrian Animal Health Service. Funding is provided for both the execution of sectional and laboratory examinations as well as the ongoing management of epidemiological surveys and preventive measures. Thanks to the continuous funding opportunity, applications can be submitted at any time; the measure has been active since 03.05.2018 and is without a time limit. With a total volume of up to 1.4 million euros, the state government makes a significant contribution to strengthening animal health and ensuring food safety in the federal state.

Eligible to participate are institutions officially recognized by the governor in accordance with the Upper Austrian Animal Health Regulation and possessing the personnel and material requirements to fulfill the tasks. The exact provisions, rights, and obligations are set forth in the Upper Austrian TGD Regulation. There are no costs for submitting an application. The aim of the funding is to secure the service’s performance capability, maintain animal health at a high professional level, and thereby prevent animal epidemics preventively. Recognized actors in the veterinary sector can submit an application at any time and thus contribute to the stability of agricultural and animal husbandry enterprises.
