Promotion of Sports (Sports Funding Guidelines)

With the sports funding guidelines of the state of Baden-Württemberg, non-profit sports federations, sports associations, and sports clubs in recreational and club sports are offered financial support in the form of a grant. The goal is to strengthen social resources through the expansion of sports facilities, the acquisition of modern sports equipment, as well as the qualification of participants, coaches, and referees. Applications can be submitted until March 31 of the respective funding year, provided the applicants are recognized as members of a Baden-Württemberg sports federation and registered as a non-profit organization. The funding requires close cooperation with schools and daycare centers for children and also pursues youth welfare projects of the sports youth.

Funding is provided, among other things, for the construction, expansion, renovation, and purchase of sports facilities, the implementation of courses and training measures, as well as the employment of part-time coaches and club managers. Innovative projects with a social focus and institutional funding measures in the field of sports are also eligible expenses. The exact amount of the grant depends on the type and scope of the project as well as the respective binding periods. These guidelines create a reliable framework that not only supports infrastructural investments but also strengthens the quality of sports offerings and engagement in clubs in the long term.
