Description
In Saxony, a grant co-financed by the Saxon State Ministry for Energy, Climate Protection, Environment and Agriculture supports the transition to a resource-efficient and low-emission circular economy. Eligible applicants include SMEs, public waste disposal authorities, municipalities, municipal associations, as well as associations, clubs, and non-profit organizations. With funding rates ranging from 10% to 70%, investment projects aimed at converting to circular economy-based production processes, improving waste management, or introducing digital process optimizations can be supported. Additionally, non-investment measures such as awareness-raising, evaluation, and qualification formats can be implemented. Applications are accepted continuously on a first-come, first-served basis until funds are exhausted.
A prerequisite for funding is that the investment is located in Saxony and demonstrably contributes to increasing resource efficiency in accordance with the funding guidelines. Expenses for research and development are excluded. For a complete funding application, in addition to the project description and cost estimate, the articles of association/bylaws, extract from the commercial register or business registration, copy of the identity card, proof of signing authority, quotations, and, if applicable, construction and approval documents must be submitted. After a positive decision, proof of use must be provided via the online portal within six months after project completion. The Saxon Development Bank – Förderbank – (SAB) is responsible for consultation and processing, and all submissions are to be made through its funding portal.
