Description
The Dr. Fritz Reimnitz Foundation supports innovative bachelor's or master's theses with a one-time grant of up to 2,500 euros that demonstrate a clear regional connection to the Bräunlingen–Löffingen area. Scientific projects from all disciplines are eligible for funding, provided they contribute to a thorough understanding, further development, or better comprehension of the region. Priority may be given to topics related to landscape conservation, local heritage preservation, monument protection, or the history and significance of gypsum mining. The funding can be used, for example, for travel expenses, literature acquisition, archival research, or data collection. Additionally, there is the opportunity to present results at a regional event and to benefit from the Foundation’s non-material support.
Eligible to apply are students enrolled at public or private universities who are currently writing a bachelor's or master's thesis or proposing a corresponding topic. The thesis should be expected to be completed within 6–12 months. Applications must include a brief letter of motivation, a proposal outlining the research question, methodology, and timeline, a curriculum vitae in tabular form, and a supervision commitment from a university faculty member, all submitted as PDFs via email. Ongoing applications allow for prompt funding decisions without a fixed submission deadline. The funding program aims to encourage early-career researchers to sustainably address regional issues and to generate new insights for research, environmental and monument protection, as well as rural development in Baden-Württemberg.
