Promotion of a Modern Learning Environment

The Catholic School Foundation in the Diocese of Erfurt supports educational institutions in Thuringia with a grant program for the creation of contemporary learning spaces. With a funding amount of up to €32,500, schools can redesign their classrooms with modern, multifunctional furniture and media technology. The goal is to enable seamless integration of digital and analog teaching methods, allowing teachers and learners to flexibly switch between group work, digital activities, and traditional frontal teaching. The funding enriches everyday learning and enhances didactic concepts – from interactive presentations to creative exchange formats in small groups.

Eligible to apply are all school institutions within the Diocese of Erfurt that wish to implement innovative teaching environments. Expenses for furniture, media technology, and other classroom equipment are eligible for funding. The program is continuously available and targets both teachers and learners who benefit from contemporary digital learning formats. Through the grant, schools can mobilize resources to implement technological investments and design measures that are often missing from the regular budget. In this way, the School Foundation makes a targeted contribution to the digitalization and further development of educational institutions in Thuringia.
